A memorandum of understanding between SLDP and Kassala State Community Radio
A MoU has been signed between SLDP Project and Community Radio in Kassala State; aiming at expanding the delivery of development messages related to improved natural resources and livelihoods practices; in Kassala state and in the targeted communities particularly to improve the understanding of the relationship between natural resource protection and sustainable livelihoods.
The MOU also identified the roles of each Party in facilitating the production and broadcasting of development programs and messages relevant to the SLDP project activities, in addition to broadcasting of SLDP news.
The implementation of the activities agreed upon in this memorandum of understanding began with the production and broadcast of Ramadan 1439 Hijri competition in )July 2018)Which was focusing on natural resources protection and conservation, and how the local communities are expected to play major roles in protecting the available natural resources. This competition was broadcasted in local dialects as well as Arabic language through Kassala community radio waves which covers more than three Sudanese states in addition to Kassala state and some neighboring countries mainly ( Eritrea & Ethiopia)
